FAQ - Transfer from another University or switch from another Course of Study LM-IMEA

Students who wish to request a transfer from other universities must submit a formal request for “TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSITY” using the attached form and attaching the history of their career to the Student Secretariat of the Polytechnic School and Basic Sciences, Engineering, Piazzale Tecchio, 80, 80125 Naples. The Course of Study then processes the applicant’s career and evaluates which exams can be validated. As a standard practice, the Course of Study attempts to maximize the validation of previously completed exams, also by recommending personalized study plans.

Before proceeding with the formal request, students can forward their career history to the Coordinator of the Course in Mechanical Engineering for Energy and the Environment, for a pre-evaluation of their application.

When you transfer from another University, your career history is always attached. Exams already taken in the three-year degree cannot be validated in the master’s degree. They must be replaced by other courses in the study plan at the appropriate level. In any event, it is compulsory to comply with the access requirements and verify the student's personal preparation, reported in the orientation section of this site.
