Yes, starting from 2025/26 academic year, students who meet specific criteria and feel they cannot commit to full-time study will have the option to enroll as part-time students.
Part-time enrollment offers a 50% reduction on annual tuition fees and is available only to non supersenior students (students who are not beyond the standard duration of their degree programme).
This option commits the student to part-time status for two academic years, during which they may earn an average of 50% of the CFU required annually for full-time students in their chosen programme.
- Students who are regularly engaged (not occasionally) for a period of at least six months during the year in employed, self-employed, or professional work, duly documented, and earning an income equal to or greater than the minimum threshold established by tax law to be considered financially independent for IRPEF (personal income tax) purposes.
- Student who qualify as family caregivers, in accordance with Article 1, paragraph 255, of Law No. 205 of December 27, 2017.
- Student with personal health issues or disabilities, certified by competent public authorities, that prevent or discourage full-time study. Students diagnosed with specific learning disorders, as defined by Law 170/2010, must provide appropriate documentation issued no more than three years prior by the National Health Service or by accredited specialists or facilities.
- Students who are parents of children aged 5 or younger.
- Students who are in their eighth month of pregnancy or have a medically certified high-risk pregnancy, as documented by a competent public health care facility.
N.B. Part-time enrollment is not allowed for supersenior students.
Access to part-time enrollment is granted at the time of registration upon student’s request, accompanied by appropriate documentation proving they meet at least one of the eligibility criteria.
