FAQ - Study plan LM-IMEA

As regards the Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, the presentation of the study plan is mandatory. Depending on the chosen reference training path (Innovative Energy Systems, Advanced Energy Management, Propulsion Systems, Sustainable Energy), it is necessary to download and fill out in advance a form available in the Study Plan section of the Mechanical Engineering Course website.

Each of the modules provides the possibility to select or modify Automatic Approval Plans, Individual or Minor.

The request may be in progress. Specifically, the request is first analyzed by the Study Plan Committee of the Course and, if approved, sent to the secretariat. Plans submitted before the October 31^st deadline, are always approved by the opening of the first semester exam window.

The LM-IMEA course offers from the academic year 2021-2022 a training course with a strong interdisciplinary character called: “Minor Transition Engineering (IT) in Green Technologies”

The aim is to train engineering professionals with highly interdisciplinary skills on the issues of environmental sustainability and efficient use of resources.

The Minor may overlap with each of the 4 existing training paths. The Course can be attended by submitting a specific study plan in which an appropriate choice is made of at least 15 curricular CFU (i.e. CFU that can be spent both in the traditional Master’s Degree and in the Minor), together with the further acquisition of 15 extra-curricular CFU. Students who select the Minor will graduate with 135 CFU instead of 120 CFU. The achievement of the “Minor IT in Green Technologies” is certified through the release of an “Open Badge” (digital certificate of disciplinary knowledge, personal skills and technical competences acquired)

For study plans not submitted for the first time, the student must attach the “HISTORY” self-certification of the master's career to the Microsoft Forms module available at the following and follow link the procedure indicated in the Study Plan section of the Mechanical Engineering Degree Course website.

Please note that it is possible to submit only one application for a change of study plan per academic year. The plan or change of plan must be submitted by the 31^st of October.

In this case, the Study Plan becomes Individual. The forms on the site guide the student through limited changes which may be undertaken to some mandatory courses. It is a good practice  to inquire with the Coordinator whether the individual plan you intend to present is properly assembled, before submitting it.
