FAQ - Admission Procedure for International Students LM-IMEA

The Master’s Degree Programme offers four curricula:

• Sistemi Energetici Innovativi (Italian)
• Gestione Avanzata dell’Energia (Italian)
• Sistemi Propulsivi (Italian)
• Sustainable Energy (fully taught in English)

For international students, the Sustainable Energy curriculum, entirely taught in English, is strongly recommended.
The final assignment to a curriculum is subject to the submission and approval of a Study Plan listing the selected courses, in accordance with the regulations published on the official website.

International students who hold (or are about to obtain) a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree compatible with the academic requirements of the program.

Applicants must send the following documents:

• A copy of a valid passport
• Academic records, including:
  • Transcript of records of the Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (showing courses, grades and credit hours)
  • Degree certificate or official certificate of enrolment in the final year, with expected graduation date
• Any recommendation letters
• Proof of English language proficiency at minimum B2 level (CEFR), such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English (B2 First, C1 Advanced, etc.), Pearson PTE Academic, or equivalent internationally recognized certificates

Alternative: instead of a language certificate, applicants may submit an official statement certifying that the entire degree program was fully taught in English (Medium of Instruction, MOI).

All documents must be sent by email to the Study Plans and Enrolment Committee at the following addresses:

The Committee will:

1. Evaluate the documentation
2. Verify that the applicant meets the academic requirements (as published on the official website)

If the requirements are met, the student will receive a Letter of Acceptance.

With the Letter of Acceptance, the student must complete the pre-enrolment procedure on the Universitaly website at https://www.universitaly.it/, once it will be open for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The Letter of Acceptance will also be uploaded to Universitaly by the Student Office.

Yes. The Italian Ministry of University and Research will perform additional checks on the submitted documentation.

Any false declaration or forged document is subject to legal penalties under Italian law, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Penal Code.

Applicants must submit to the program coordinator (see the Staff page) a Study Plan, as indicated at Study Plan page, listing the examinations they intend to take, prepared in accordance with the Didactic Regulation for the course of study: see the didactic regulations page
