Guidelines for Writing the Thesis Document
The thesis is a technical document written by the student in compliance with intellectual property (and originality).
- Include the cover page, table of contents, summary, the various chapters, conclusions, bibliography, and webography.
- Chapters and sections must be numbered.
- Figures must have a caption—preferably placed below the figure—and be referenced in the text.
- Number only those equations that are explicitly referred to in the text.
- Tables must have a caption—preferably placed above the table—and be referenced in the text.
- Bibliographic references must be listed at the end of the document, numbered, and cited within the thesis.
- The webography must likewise be listed at the end of the document, numbered, and each website must be cited within the thesis.
- All pages of the document must be numbered.
