Regulation approved on 14.03.2023
To prepare the final year thesis, students are guided by one or more academic supervisors. The choice of the supervisor is based not only on the student’s interest in the thesis topic, but also on a relationship of mutual trust and respect, which is essential for the successful completion of the work.
Typically, students identify a faculty member to supervise their thesis through informal meetings. Alternatively, students may request the Coordinator of Degree Program to assign a supervisor ex officio.
The supervisor is usually a faculty member whose subject area (SSD) is included in the student’s Study Plan. Alternatively, the supervisor may be a faculty member who teaches, or whose subject area is taught, within the degree program.
The required workload is proportional to the number of credits (CFU) foreseen for the graduation exam. It is strongly recommended that students contact their supervisor in advance (at least nine months before the expected graduation date) to agree on the start date for the thesis work.
Before starting the activities students must fill in the form available at the following link.
