The following are the teachings of the bachelor's programme, arranged by year of study.
It should be noted that the following articulation of teaching is valid for students enrolling from the academic year 2023-2024 onwards, and that this is also explicitly stated in the Study Manifesto.
Details of the programme are available in the Student Guide (pdf) and the Programme Regulations (pdf).
Details of teaching can be found in the List of Teaching Sheets (pdf).
All other students should refer to the Manifesto of Studies for the academic year in which they are enrolled, which is available in the archive.
There is no coursework for the English language examination. Credits are obtained through procedures established by the University Language Centre. The 3 CFUs do not give a grade, only an eligibility.
To find out the dates and locations of the exams and to register for them, go to the website of the University Language Centre (CLA) www.cla.unina.it and go to the section "Dates and locations of the exams - Departmental placement test".

Other Knowledge - BSc in Aerospace Engineering
The study manifesto of Aerospace Engineering (L-9) foresees in Year III, 3 CFU for "Other Knowledge".
These credits can be obtained by carrying out activities of a different nature (also in external subjects), organised or recognised by the course, such as: mini-courses, seminar cycles, acquisition of language and soft skills, certified external activities. These activities, as varied as they may be, must be relevant and consistent with the Aerospace Engineer training pathway and represent an appropriate commitment on the part of the student. These activities may also be recognised if they are undertaken during training periods abroad, e.g. as part of an Erasmus programme.
For the purposes of recognising the 3 CFUs of additional knowledge, the CoS evaluates each year a number of training initiatives that are suitable for the accreditation of the 3 CFUs. Specifically:
- Mini-courses of a typical size of 3 CFU, of an applied nature (laboratory, programming, etc.), which may be offered by other courses (for recognition, a certificate of attendance and passing from the mini-course teacher is required).
- Student association initiatives recognised by the University (covering all or part of the 3 CFUs) involving active participation in seminars or teamwork initiatives (certificate of attendance and number of hours to be requested from the initiative promoter).
- Seminar initiatives on topics such as ethics and engineering - professional ethics (by the Order of Engineers), safety at work, culture of inclusion and soft skills (by Sinapsi or selected companies), technical topics (by individual lecturers in collaboration with companies). Additional seminars offered by the Polytechnic School of Engineering and Basic Sciences (certificate of attendance and number of hours to be requested from the seminar leader)
- Web-Learning Initiatives (e.g. MOOC courses) available on Federica Web Learning (https://www.federica.eu/) (certification by Federica Web Learning)
The course organiser may consider awarding 3 CFUs for any activities, including those carried out abroad or in companies, for study or professional purposes, other than those listed, provided that they are useful for the training of an engineer and are adequately documented.
Accreditation process
For accreditation purposes, it is necessary to participate in the proposed initiatives and to collect certificates and attendance records (in the prescribed manner) until the completion of the total of 3 CFUs. All seminars organised by the Course Organisation can be attended from the first year of the course and will be recognised, at the student's request, from the examination window of the third year.
Students, starting from the first examination window of the 3rd year, can send all the certificates they have obtained to the Secretary of the Course Organisation, Mrs. Mirella Parrilli (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and, for information, to the Course Coordinator, Prof. Michele Grassi (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.), indicating in the email "Request for accreditation of CFUs Additional Knowledge for the Bachelor Degree Course in Aerospace Engineering".
After the time required to complete the paperwork with the necessary verifications, the 3 CFUs will be visible in your career on your SEGREPASS account.
Rules for the Final Exam for the Degree in Aerospace Engineering
The final examination consists of the evaluation by a committee of professors and researchers of a thesis written in Italian or English under the guidance of a supervisor.
The dissertation is a technical document, normally not exceeding 30 (thirty) pages, which deals with development or design activities carried out on topics related to one or more subjects. It must be sent to all members of the thesis committee at least one week before the thesis session. Guidelines for the preparation of the dissertation are available at the following link.
The Commission will formulate the final grade in accordance with the procedures set out in the Didactic Regulations of the Aerospace Engineering Degree Course. In determining the final grade, the Commission may take into account the following three rates:
- Average in hundredths (weighted according to the CFUs allocated to each course) of the marks obtained in all the performance examinations passed in order to obtain the 180 CFUs for the three-year course. For this purpose, the mark for examinations passed with distinction is taken as 31.
- Quality of paper and presentation: up to 3 points
- Student career: up to 5 points, based on the legal duration of the course and the basic average.
