The course provides specialized knowledge for welding metallic alloys, allowing the ability to choose the technological process, to determine the temperature fields and thermal regimes, to predict the final crystalline structures and to control defectology. The aspects of welding automation techniques will be also studied. The specialist knowledge will also be provided to define, realize and characterize adhesive joints.

Joining techniques for adhesion. Surface Physics, Surface tension, Surface tension measurement methods. Surface preparation methods for adhesion. Adhesives and their classification. Bonding techniques. Characteristics of adhesive joints. Characterization of adhesive joints. Automation in production and welding. Artificial vision systems. IA techniques applied to controls: definitions and applications. Sensors. Numerical controls.
