Geometrical Modelling and Virtual Prototyping - a.y. 2016/2017

CFU: 9

Period (Year/Semester): I/II

Languade: Italian

Required/expected prior knowledge: Engineering Technical Drawing.

Lecturers: Stanislao Patalano

Course objectives:
To know methods for solid and surface modelling. To develop 3D models of mechanical assemblies and industrial products through solid and surface modelling by using parametric-variational CAD software. To build free form curves and surfaces by using numerical analysis software. To execute affine transformation and export curves to environments for geometric modelling. To specify tolerances in order to assure project requirements. To know the virtual prototyping, the variation analysis and the human modeling for the analysis, the verification and the validation of industrial products.
